Pakistan’s cement industry delivered its highest-ever annual profit of Rs. 182 billion in FY26, equivalent to around $649 million, as sector earnings recovered strongly during the year.

Profitability grew at a compound annual growth rate of 12.3 percent, with stronger gross margins, improved domestic cement demand and a decline in finance costs supporting the sector’s performance.
The recovery in local demand has remained visible in the new fiscal year as well. Cement sales in September 2026 increased 7.35 percent year-on-year to 3.79 million tons, according to industry data.
Total cement dispatches, including exports, reached 4.62 million tons during the month, up 5.95 percent from the same month last year. Export volumes remained broadly stable at around 832,000 tons.
The September performance also contributed to growth during the first quarter of FY27. Total cement dispatches increased 3.88 percent year-on-year to 13.14 million tons during the quarter.
Domestic dispatches recorded stronger growth of 7.79 percent, reaching 10.85 million tons, while exports declined 11.32 percent to 2.30 million tons.
The latest figures indicate that domestic demand continues to provide support to the cement sector after its record profitability in FY26.
