Pakistan recorded a sharp increase in mobile phone imports during the current fiscal year, with total imports exceeding Rs. 455 billion in the first 10 months of FY2025-26.
Official data shows that the country imported mobile phones worth Rs. 455.73 billion from July 2025 to April 2026, compared to Rs. 349.77 billion during the same period last year. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 30.29 percent.
The import growth remained strong in April 2026, when Pakistan imported mobile phones worth Rs. 49.41 billion. In comparison, imports stood at Rs. 41.63 billion in March 2026 and Rs. 35.12 billion in April 2025.
According to the figures, mobile phone imports increased by 18.70 percent on a monthly basis in April, while annual growth for the month reached 40.71 percent.
The latest numbers indicate continued expansion in Pakistan’s smartphone market, with imports maintaining a strong upward trend despite economic and currency pressures.
