Pakistan’s mobile phone imports recorded a sharp increase during the first nine months of the current fiscal year, reaching Rs. 406.38 billion, according to official data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
The figures show a 29.15% rise compared to the same period last year, when imports stood at Rs. 314.65 billion, reflecting growing demand for smartphones in the country.
In March 2026 alone, mobile phone imports were recorded at Rs. 41.70 billion, marking a 14.28% increase compared to March 2025, when imports stood at Rs. 36.49 billion. However, on a monthly basis, imports declined by 4.26% compared to February 2026, when the figure was Rs. 43.56 billion.
Overall, from July 2025 to March 2026, Pakistan’s total mobile phone imports amounted to Rs. 406.38 billion (approximately Rs. 0.406 trillion), highlighting sustained demand despite slight month-on-month fluctuations.
