Israel is reportedly pressing US President Donald Trump to launch a nuclear strike against Iran as early as next week, a move that could trigger a dangerous nuclear arms escalation involving Pakistan and India, American journalist Tucker Carlson has claimed.

In a social media post published on November 1, Carlson said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was repeatedly urging the Trump administration to consider using nuclear weapons against Iran. He claimed Trump could make a decision on the matter by November 7.

“Netanyahu calls Trump about it every day,” Carlson said.

Why Israel Wants a Nuclear Strike

According to Carlson, the proposed target is Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence reportedly believes Tehran has resumed uranium enrichment activities.

He claimed the underground facility is protected by approximately 300 feet of granite, making it difficult for conventional American weapons to penetrate. Israel therefore wants Washington to consider using a nuclear weapon to destroy the site.

Carlson also suggested that Netanyahu, who is facing difficulties forming a government following last week’s election, has political reasons to continue the conflict.

However, US Vice President JD Vance and American envoy Steve Witkoff are reportedly pushing for a diplomatic agreement with Tehran rather than further military escalation.

How This Could Affect Pakistan and India

Carlson warned that a US nuclear strike against Iran could undermine the global taboo against using nuclear weapons and encourage other countries to consider similar attacks.

He specifically mentioned Pakistan and India, suggesting that both countries could be tempted to use nuclear weapons against each other if Washington breaks the longstanding restraint on nuclear warfare.

He also cited North Korea and South Korea as another potential flashpoint.

Carlson further warned that a ground-level nuclear explosion at Pickax Mountain could contaminate Persian Gulf water supplies serving around 100 million people.

The potential fallout is particularly concerning for Pakistan, which depends heavily on Gulf countries for oil and LNG supplies and has millions of citizens working across the region.

Trump Has Previously Threatened Iran

Trump had previously threatened to resume bombing Iran, saying during a September election rally that the United States might eventually have to take tougher military action.

“At some point we’re going to have to give them the hammer,” he said.

Carlson has previously criticized Trump’s handling of the Iran conflict and expressed support for JD Vance’s position on avoiding further escalation.

Neither the US government nor Israeli officials have publicly confirmed the alleged proposal for a nuclear strike.

Important editorial note: The nuclear strike claim, November 7 decision deadline, and alleged Israeli pressure are Carlson’s assertions, not independently confirmed developments. Keep the attribution prominent throughout the story.
