Internet users in different parts of Pakistan may experience slower-than-usual browsing after an issue developed on an international submarine cable, Nayatel said on Thursday.
In a statement shared on X, the internet service provider said international connectivity has been affected due to degradation on a submarine cable segment, which may result in reduced browsing speeds for customers.
Nayatel said its technical teams are working closely with its upstream connectivity provider to restore normal service as quickly as possible.
The company did not disclose which international cable has been affected or provide a timeline for complete restoration.
Nayatel apologized for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience while the issue is being resolved.
