A serious privacy breach has been reported at a private hospital in Murree after hidden recording devices were allegedly discovered inside a women’s washroom.

According to reports, female visitors—many of whom were accompanying patients or receiving treatment—were unknowingly exposed to secret video surveillance inside the facility. The incident reportedly came to light when a woman visiting a patient was filmed without consent two days ago.

Following a complaint lodged by the affected family, police registered a case at Murree Police Station and initiated an investigation into the matter.

Authorities have obtained CCTV footage from the hospital and are working to identify the individuals named in the FIR. Officials said legal action will be taken once responsibility is established.

The victim’s family has demanded immediate arrests and strict punishment under the law.

The incident has once again raised concerns over repeated reports of hidden camera installations in sensitive public spaces such as hospitals, hostels, and educational institutions across the country.
