The government has increased toll tax on highways and motorways, with the revised rates set to take effect from July 10, according to a notification.
Under the new rates for highways, toll tax for a car has been fixed at Rs. 100, while wagons and buses will now pay Rs. 200 and Rs. 300 respectively.

On the M-3 Motorway from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem, the toll for cars has been set at Rs. 1,000, wagons at Rs. 1,500, mini buses at Rs. 2,200 and buses at Rs. 3,150.
For the M-4 Motorway, running from Pindi Bhattian to Multan, the new toll rates are Rs. 1,350 for cars, Rs. 1,950 for wagons, Rs. 2,900 for mini buses and Rs. 4,050 for buses.
On the M-5 Motorway between Multan and Sukkur, cars will now be charged Rs. 1,500, wagons Rs. 2,200, mini buses Rs. 3,250 and buses Rs. 4,600.
The notification also revised tolls for other major routes, including the M-1, M-14 and the Hassanabdal-Havelian-Mansehra Expressway, along with separate rates for trucks and articulated vehicles.
