Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded sharply on Wednesday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs4,300 per tola, according to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of gold increased to Rs441,636 per tola, recovering from the decline recorded in the previous session.

The price of 10-gram gold also climbed by Rs3,686 to Rs378,631.

The increase in Pakistan followed a rise in international gold prices. Global gold gained $43 to reach $4,191 per ounce on Wednesday.

Gold had declined by Rs800 per tola on Tuesday, when the local price settled at Rs437,336.

Silver prices also moved higher on Wednesday, increasing by Rs20 to Rs6,578 per tola.

The latest movement comes after a volatile period for gold prices in Pakistan, with the precious metal recording sharp gains and losses over the past several sessions.
