Gold prices surged again in Pakistan on Friday, tracking a strong rally in the international market, where the precious metal posted significant gains during the final trading session of the week.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs. 12,200 to Rs. 440,936.
The price of 10 grams of gold also climbed by Rs. 10,459, reaching Rs. 378,031.
The latest increase follows Thursday’s rebound, when gold prices rose by Rs. 9,100 to Rs. 428,736 per tola.
Globally, gold advanced by $122 per ounce, settling at $4,185.
Silver prices also moved higher in the local market, with the price per tola increasing by Rs. 319 to Rs. 6,764 on Friday.
