Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Monday, tracking gains in the international market, with the price of one tola rising by Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 431,736.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 3,430 to Rs. 370,144.

The rally follows Saturday’s increase, when gold prices rose by Rs. 300 per tola to settle at Rs. 427,736.

In the international market, gold climbed $40 to $4,093 per ounce, including a $20 premium, supporting the rise in domestic prices.

Meanwhile, silver also extended its gains, rising Rs. 100 to a record high of Rs. 6,397 per tola.
