In a continued downward trend, gold prices in Pakistan fell for the second consecutive day on Thursday, dropping below the Rs. 272,000 per tola mark. According to the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 24-carat gold decreased by Rs. 500, settling at Rs. 271,200 per tola. This follows a previous trading day price of Rs. 271,700.
The decline was also observed in the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold, which fell by Rs. 429 to Rs. 232,510. Similarly, the price of 10-gram 22-carat gold decreased to Rs. 213,134.
This recent drop comes after a significant decline of Rs. 3,000 per tola on the previous day, marking the first major decrease in at least two weeks. Gold prices had previously surged to a record high of Rs. 277,000 per tola on September 26, 2024.
On the international front, gold prices also saw a slight decrease, with a $4 drop to $2,613 from $2,617.
Meanwhile, the prices of silver remained stable, with per tola and ten-gram silver holding steady at Rs. 3,050 and Rs. 2,614.88, respectively.
