Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend for a second consecutive session on Wednesday, following a modest rise earlier in the week, as both local and international markets recorded declines.

In the global bullion market, gold dropped by $55 per ounce, settling at $4,572 per ounce amid renewed pressure on precious metals.

Reflecting the international trend, domestic gold prices also fell sharply. In Pakistan, the price of per tola gold declined by Rs. 5,500 to reach Rs. 479,562. Similarly, the rate of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs. 4,715, settling at Rs. 411,147.

For comparison, gold was priced at Rs. 485,062 per tola on Tuesday and Rs. 493,962 on Monday, highlighting a steady correction after recent highs.

Silver prices also followed the downward trajectory, slipping by Rs. 45 to close at Rs. 7,766 per tola.
