Gold prices declined in Pakistan on Friday, tracking losses in the international market, while silver prices continued to edge higher.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs1,400 per tola, bringing it down to Rs432,436.
The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs1,200, settling at Rs370,744.
The decline followed a drop in global bullion prices, with gold falling $14 per ounce to $4,100, including a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver bucked the trend, gaining Rs11 per tola to reach Rs6,432 in the local market.
The latest decline comes a day after gold prices surged by Rs3,600 per tola, pushing the precious metal to Rs433,836.
