The Pakistani rupee (PKR) extended its winning streak against the US Dollar (USD) for the 254th consecutive day on Monday, while the Euro (EUR) moved further toward the Rs. 300 mark.

The rupee closed at 277.06 against the US Dollar, gaining one paisa during the session. At its current pace, the PKR could enter the 276 range against the dollar in the coming days.

The rupee has remained on an upward trend against the US Dollar since December 25, 2025.

The Euro also continued to move lower against the rupee. It closed at Rs. 310.73 on Monday after losing 88 paisas. The currency was trading above Rs. 314.63 on September 30, meaning it has fallen by nearly Rs. 4 in just a few sessions.

The latest level is also significantly below the nearly Rs. 350 level seen only a few weeks ago, bringing the Euro considerably closer to Rs. 300.

Other Currencies

The rupee weakened by 71 paisas against the British Pound (GBP) and 60 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD).

It gained 12 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD) and 5 paisas against the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).

The rupee also gained one paisa against the UAE Dirham (AED), while it remained broadly stable against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
