The Islamabad High Court has summoned the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad and the Inspector General of Police to appear in person next week over the inspection of sheesha cafes operating in the federal capital.
Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar issued the order while hearing a petition seeking action against sheesha cafes allegedly violating no-objection certificate (NOC) conditions and requesting that a compliance report be submitted to the court.
The court also directed the Chief Commissioner Islamabad to submit a report detailing the inspections and actions taken against cafes found to be in violation of the prescribed regulations.
