The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has formally declared 99 housing and agro-farming societies in Islamabad as illegal, citing violations of zoning laws and development regulations.

According to an official notice, the societies—mostly located in Zones III and IV—were found marketing and selling plots without mandatory approval from the CDA. This is a violation of the CDA Ordinance 1960 and the ICT Zoning Regulations 1992.

The authority has directed the public to avoid any buying or selling activity in these schemes and ordered their sponsors to immediately stop all advertising, marketing, and sales operations.

Among the listed projects are Royal City Housing Scheme (Lehtrar Road), Japani Valley (Kirpa), Ghouri Gardens and Satti Town (Lehtrar Road), and Simly Valley I & II (near Simly Dam Road). Officials said these developments were launched without securing required planning permissions.

Other societies declared illegal include Dhanyal Town, Ghakkar Town, Usama Town, Abdullah Gardens, and Canterbury Enclave, along with several projects located across Kuri Road, Park Road, and Islamabad Highway.

The CDA also identified Qurtbal Town, Commoners Sky Garden, Madina Enclave Phase-I, Star Villas Housing Scheme, Saif Gardens, and multiple agro-farming schemes such as Badar Farms, Shaheen Farms, and Green Field as unauthorized developments.

Additional names in the list include Babar Enclave, Doctors Enclave, Green Avenue-II, Marwa Town, Media City-1, Paradise Point, and Government Officers Cooperative Housing Scheme, all of which were found in breach of planning regulations.

In total, the notice covers a wide range of projects across Bani Gala, Lehtrar Road, Simly Dam Road, Park Road, and Islamabad Highway, including dozens of residential and farm housing schemes.

The CDA warned that individuals involved in selling or promoting these illegal societies could face legal action under applicable urban development laws.

Citizens have been urged to verify the legal status of any housing project before making investments, as only CDA-approved schemes are authorized for development and sale within Islamabad.
