Captain (Retd) Sardar Muhammad Shehryar Khan has assumed charge as the new SSP Security/Administration of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police.

Following his appointment, Shehryar Khan held a meeting with SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza to review security arrangements, public safety measures and patrolling across Islamabad.

The two officers discussed ways to strengthen security operations and improve coordination between different police formations. They also exchanged views on deploying personnel more effectively to enhance protection for citizens.

Shehryar Khan’s appointment comes amid a series of changes in Islamabad Police’s senior command. Shehzada Umar Abbas assumed charge as SSP Safe City Operations a day earlier.

The recent appointments are aimed at improving coordination between the Security, Operations and Safe City wings, with a greater focus on field policing and technology-driven surveillance.

The officers expressed their resolve to further improve security and patrolling arrangements and ensure a safer environment across the federal capital.
