Thousands of Allied Bank Limited (ABL) customers across Pakistan are facing widespread disruption after the bank’s digital banking services suffered a nationwide outage, leaving users unable to log into the myABL app, transfer funds or reach customer support, sources told RBN.

According to information obtained by RBN, the outage has affected multiple banking channels across the country. Sources said that customers are unable to access the myABL mobile application, while the bank’s WhatsApp banking service and UAN helpline are also unavailable.

The technical disruption has prevented customers from carrying out routine banking activities, including sending and receiving money through IBFT. Sources added that even some users who managed to log into the application were unable to complete transfers, with transactions either failing or returning an error.

Affected users reported receiving the following message while attempting fund transfers: “Unable to process. Please ensure that you have entered the correct account/reference number and the account is active.”

Customers have also complained that they are unable to check their account balances through the bank’s WhatsApp banking service, while attempts to contact customer support have been unsuccessful as the helpline also appears to be down.

Although some users claim they have been experiencing intermittent issues for several days, complaints surged over the weekend as dozens of customers took to X to report that the myABL app, online banking services and helpline had stopped working simultaneously.

One user said the online banking portal had remained inaccessible on both the mobile app and web for several days, questioning why the issue had not yet been resolved. Another customer claimed the outage had continued for nearly 20 hours, while others criticized the bank over the prolonged disruption and lack of communication.

Sources said that the outage is impacting customers nationwide, with many currently unable to perform digital transactions or access support services. At the time of publication, Allied Bank had not issued any public advisory or service update regarding the disruption.

RBN has reached out to Allied Bank for comment and will update this story if a response is received.
