The price of gold in Pakistan has surged to a new record high for the second time this week, reflecting a significant increase in the international market. According to the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs. 2,900 per tola, reaching Rs. 265,900. Similarly, the price for 10 grams increased by Rs. 2,486, bringing it to Rs. 227,966.

This latest increase surpasses the previous record set on September 11, when gold was priced at Rs. 264,000 per tola. The upward trend in gold prices is not limited to Pakistan; the international market also witnessed a record high on Thursday. Spot gold prices climbed by 1.7 percent, reaching $2,554.05 per ounce, while US gold futures rose by 1.5 percent to $2,580.60.

The continuous rise in gold prices is attributed to various global economic factors, including market volatility and investor demand for safe-haven assets.

As gold remains a popular investment choice during uncertain times, both local and international markets are experiencing heightened activity.
