Gold prices in Pakistan recovered on Monday, November 2, gaining Rs. 2,400 per tola after suffering a sharp Rs. 10,800 decline just two days earlier.

The price of 24-karat gold increased to Rs. 412,136 per tola, according to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Similarly, the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams rose by Rs. 2,058 to Rs. 353,340.

Despite Monday’s recovery, gold remains significantly cheaper than it was last week, reflecting continued volatility in local and international bullion markets.

International Gold Prices Recover

Gold also gained ground in the international market, where prices increased by $24 to reach $3,896 per ounce.

However, the precious metal remained below the $4,000 mark, which it had briefly crossed again last week.

Silver prices also moved higher in Pakistan. The rate of silver increased by Rs. 100 per tola to Rs. 5,488.

Gold Still Cheaper Than Last Week

Monday’s increase recovered only a fraction of the losses recorded on Saturday, when gold prices plunged by Rs. 10,800 per tola to Rs. 409,736.

Compared with October 28, gold is now Rs. 13,500 cheaper per tola. The price of 10 grams has also declined by approximately Rs. 11,574 from Rs. 364,914.

For buyers purchasing five tolas of gold jewellery, the difference amounts to around Rs. 67,500 compared with October 28 prices, excluding making charges.

With international gold prices still below $4,000 per ounce and local rates experiencing sharp daily movements, buyers and investors may continue to face considerable price uncertainty.
