The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has given Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman 15 days to remove alleged illegal structures from his Islamabad residence or face possible demolition and legal action.

CDA issued the notice on October 30, 2026, identifying building violations at Plot No. 07, Street No. 83, Sector G-6/4, Islamabad.

According to the notice, the violations include an unauthorised guard post, a generator installed on CDA-owned land, and construction in mandatory building setbacks.

The authority said the property owner had submitted an affidavit on March 18, 2019, promising to remove violations in the setbacks within three months and comply with building regulations. However, CDA says the violations have not been removed.

The authority has directed the owner and occupant to clear all identified violations within 15 days of the notice.

CDA warned that failure to meet the deadline could lead to legal action under the CDA Ordinance and Islamabad Capital Territory Building Control Regulations 2020, as amended in 2023.

Possible action includes sealing or demolishing the unauthorised structures and initiating proceedings to cancel the property’s allotment.

The notice was issued by CDA’s Directorate of Building Control (City).
