Of the total amount received, $2.15 billion had been repatriated overseas, while $8.94 billion had been used within Pakistan by the end of September. This left a net repatriable liability of $3.07 billion, up around $65 million from August.
Cumulative net investments through RDAs stood at $2.27 billion in September. These included investments in conventional and Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs) and the local stock market.
Islamic NPCs accounted for the largest share at $1.38 billion, followed by conventional NPCs at $740 million and Roshan equity investments at $153 million.
Islamic NPC investments rose by $43 million during September, while conventional NPC investments increased by $24 million. Equity investments declined by $2 million to $153 million.
Meanwhile, the balance held in RDA accounts fell by $4 million to $725 million. Other liabilities increased by $2 million to $80 million.
Monthly repatriations dropped to $16 million in September from $23 million in August. However, cumulative funds used locally increased by $170 million during the month, reaching $8.94 billion.
Roshan Digital Accounts allow overseas Pakistanis to open bank accounts remotely and move funds into Pakistan. Account holders can invest in Naya Pakistan Certificates and the local stock market, among other available options.
