Gold prices in Pakistan increased sharply on Friday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs. 5,900 per tola in the local market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), gold reached Rs. 440,936 per tola after the latest increase.
The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs. 5,058 to reach Rs. 378,031.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $59 to reach $4,184 per ounce, supporting the rise in local rates.
Silver prices also moved higher, gaining Rs. 144 to reach Rs. 6,512 per tola.
On Thursday, gold prices in Pakistan had increased by Rs. 600 per tola to settle at Rs. 435,036.
