The Pakistani rupee continued its remarkable winning run against the US dollar on Wednesday, posting its 256th consecutive daily gain and moving closer to the Rs. 276 level.

The rupee closed at Rs. 277.02 against the dollar on October 7, strengthening by 3.31 paisas from Rs. 277.0545 in the previous session.

At its current pace of appreciation, the rupee could move into the Rs. 276 range against the dollar in the coming sessions.

The rupee has remained on an upward trajectory against the dollar since December 25, 2025.

Other Currencies

The rupee gained 1.61 paisas against the British pound and 23.09 paisas against the Australian dollar.

It strengthened by Rs. 1.3253 against the euro but weakened by 59.77 paisas against the Canadian dollar.

Against the UAE dirham, the rupee gained 0.90 paisas, while it strengthened by 1.86 paisas against the Saudi riyal.

The Chinese yuan also weakened slightly against the rupee, with the latter gaining 0.50 paisas.
