The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Hyderabad has collected Rs28.788 billion on a provisional net basis during the first quarter of FY2026-27, marking an 18 percent increase from Rs24.373 billion recorded in the same quarter last year.

September also remained strong, with the tax office collecting Rs12.009 billion during the month. The amount was 18 percent higher than the Rs10.093 billion collected in September 2025.

Income Tax remained the largest contributor to the quarterly collection at Rs18.402 billion. Sales Tax generated Rs9.760 billion, while Federal Excise Duty contributed Rs627 million.

Income Tax revenue increased by 9 percent compared with the corresponding period last year. Sales Tax and Federal Excise Duty collections both recorded 37 percent growth.

Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue RTO Hyderabad Sajjad Akber Khan credited the performance to the efforts of the office’s officers and staff.

He said the RTO would continue working to increase revenue collection and improve tax compliance.
