The federal government has reduced petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices again, with the latest rates taking effect for the next 24 hours, according to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
Petrol has become cheaper by Rs. 1.49 per litre, bringing its price down to Rs. 387.54. The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs. 2.73 to Rs. 402.24 per litre.
The latest revision follows another reduction announced on Monday, when petrol was cut by Rs. 2.27 to Rs. 389.03 per litre and diesel by Rs. 3.56 to Rs. 404.97 per litre.
Despite the recent cuts, fuel prices have recorded a substantial increase since the introduction of daily revisions. Petrol has risen by Rs. 76.83 per litre, while diesel has increased by Rs. 78.94 per litre over the period.
