Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has assured the Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance that owners will be paid rent for containers used by police to maintain law and order.

The assurance was given during a meeting between the Islamabad police chief and a delegation of the Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance.

According to Islamabad Police, containers carrying medicines, food items, and other perishable goods will be returned to their owners immediately.

The IGP also assured the delegation that owners would be paid rent for containers deployed for maintaining public order.

DIG Headquarters Javed Tariq and office-bearers of the Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance were also present at the meeting.
