Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Wednesday, with the local rate increasing in line with a rise in international gold prices.
The price of gold increased by Rs. 7,900 per tola to reach Rs. 457,236, according to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10-gram gold also climbed by Rs. 6,773, reaching Rs. 392,006.
On Tuesday, gold had fallen by Rs. 4,000 per tola to Rs. 449,336.
In the international market, gold gained $79 per ounce, reaching $4,347.
Meanwhile, silver prices increased by Rs. 140 per tola to reach Rs. 6,942.
