The Pakistani rupee (PKR) strengthened against the US Dollar (USD) for the 240th consecutive trading day on Tuesday.
The rupee closed at 277.30 per dollar, gaining 1.11 paisas during the day. It has remained on an upward streak against the dollar since December 25, 2025.
Rupee Gains Against Major Currencies
The PKR also strengthened against several major currencies.
It gained 20.90 paisas against the British Pound, 14.66 paisas against the Australian Dollar, 10.98 paisas against the Euro, and 28.08 paisas against the Canadian Dollar.
The rupee also gained 8.19 paisas against the Malaysian Ringgit and 3.77 paisas against the Chinese Yuan.
Against regional currencies, the PKR gained 1.28 paisas against the Saudi Riyal, while it was almost unchanged against the UAE Dirham, gaining just 0.20 paisas.
