Islamabad Police has approved the promotion of 125 officers and personnel to higher ranks as outgoing Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi announced a major promotion exercise for the force.
Under the approved promotions, 12 Sub-Inspectors have been elevated to Inspector, nine Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) to Sub-Inspector, and 105 Head Constables to ASI.
Islamabad Police said notification of all promotions has been issued. The promotions were decided after considering the officers’ performance, service records and merit.
Rizvi congratulated the promoted officers and personnel and also formally pinned the new ranks on the promoted officials.
He said merit and transparency would remain central to promotions in Islamabad Police. He added that officers and personnel who demonstrate strong performance would continue to be recognized and encouraged.
The Islamabad Police chief said the promotion of a large number of personnel would help improve the force’s morale and enable officers to perform their duties more effectively.
