The Pakistani rupee extended its winning streak against the US dollar to 237 consecutive days on Thursday, gaining another one paisa in the interbank market.

The rupee closed at Rs. 277.35 against the dollar, compared with Rs. 277.36 in the previous session.

The PKR has recorded a daily gain against the dollar since December 25, 2025, maintaining its longest uninterrupted winning streak in recent years.

Rupee Performance Against Other Currencies

The rupee’s performance was mixed against major currencies on Thursday. It weakened by 19 paisas against the British pound and 21 paisas against the euro.

Meanwhile, the rupee gained 19 paisas against the Australian dollar and 40 paisas against the Canadian dollar.

The PKR remained broadly stable against the UAE dirham and Saudi riyal.

The continued appreciation against the dollar comes despite fluctuations in the rupee’s value against other major international currencies.
