LPG has become more expensive in Pakistan for September, with the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) raising the official price by Rs. 4.33 per kilogram.

Under the new rate, LPG will cost Rs. 258.65 per kilogram, up from the previous month’s price.

The increase means an 11.8kg household LPG cylinder will cost Rs. 51.17 more. The official price of the standard cylinder has consequently risen to Rs. 3,052 for September.

This is the second consecutive monthly increase in the official LPG price. OGRA had raised the rate by Rs. 12.89 per kilogram in August, pushing the cylinder price to Rs. 3,000.92 from Rs. 2,848.91 in July.

The latest adjustment puts further pressure on households that rely on LPG for cooking and other domestic needs, particularly in areas where natural gas supplies are limited.
