Pakistan has received more than Rs31 billion in Hajj payments within 24 hours through its digital Hajj payment system, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The number of Hajj applications has also crossed 50,000 since the online payment facility became available.
Payments have so far been completed for around 22,000 pilgrims under the Short Hajj Scheme and 28,000 under the Long Hajj Scheme.
Pilgrims across Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad are using the online system to pay their Hajj dues.
The Ministry has made three payment methods available through the Pak Hajj App and Hajj Portal: OneLink, bank cards and bank challans.
The digital system allows applicants to complete their Hajj payments online without visiting offices for the payment process.
