Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Friday, rising further in line with gains in the international market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold increased by Rs. 5,100 per tola to reach a new high of Rs. 454,336.
The price of 10-gram gold also climbed by Rs. 4,372, reaching Rs. 389,519.
The latest increase came after gold prices surged by Rs. 11,300 per tola on Thursday, when the local rate reached Rs. 449,236.
In the global market, gold prices rose by $51 to reach $4,319 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Silver prices also increased, rising by Rs. 280 per tola to reach Rs. 6,939 on Friday.
