The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its recovery streak for the second consecutive session on Thursday, as strong buying activity lifted the benchmark KSE 100 Index back above the 181,000 mark.

The index closed at 181,776 points after gaining 1,761 points, or 0.98 percent, during the session. It traded between an intraday low of 180,626 and a high of 182,007 points.

The latest surge has helped the market recover nearly 4,700 points in just two sessions, reversing a major portion of the losses recorded earlier this week.

Improved investor confidence was supported by easing geopolitical tensions, renewed institutional buying, and reduced volatility in international oil prices, which boosted interest in cyclical stocks.

Among major contributors, UBL, MARI, FFC, LUCK, and BAHL collectively added around 717 points to the benchmark index.

Market activity remained strong, with total traded volume reaching 793 million shares, while the traded value stood at approximately Rs. 40.3 billion.

Top traded stocks included BOP with 66 million shares, UNITY with 62.5 million shares, and CNERGY with 56.2 million shares, reflecting continued participation from investors across key sectors.
