The prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) have been increased for the next 24 hours under Pakistan’s daily fuel pricing mechanism.
Petrol prices have been raised by Rs. 1.09 per litre to Rs. 336.15 per litre, while high-speed diesel has become costlier by Rs. 2.42 per litre, reaching Rs. 393.04 per litre.
The latest adjustment comes a day after petrol prices were reduced by Rs. 0.75 per litre to Rs. 335.06 per litre, while diesel prices increased by Rs. 2.24 per litre to Rs. 390.62 per litre.
Since the introduction of daily fuel price revisions, petrol has increased by Rs. 25.43 per litre, while diesel has surged by Rs. 69.71 per litre.
Under the daily pricing system, petrol rose from Rs. 310.71 per litre before the mechanism was introduced (July 11–17) to Rs. 336.15 per litre on July 30.
Diesel prices have seen a sharper increase, climbing from Rs. 323.30 per litre during July 11–17 to Rs. 393.04 per litre, marking a rise of Rs. 69.71 per litre.
The daily fuel price mechanism was introduced to provide more frequent adjustments in line with market conditions instead of relying on fixed fortnightly revisions.
