Gold prices in Pakistan moved higher on Thursday, tracking an increase in the international bullion market, with the price of one tola rising by Rs. 1,000.
According to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold reached Rs. 427,436 per tola after the latest increase.
The price of 10-gram gold also climbed by Rs. 857, reaching Rs. 366,457.
In the global market, gold prices increased by $10 to $4,050 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction, declining by Rs. 76 to settle at Rs. 6,215 per tola in the local market.
The latest increase comes after gold prices had fallen by Rs. 1,000 per tola on Wednesday, reflecting continued volatility in both domestic and international bullion markets.
