The federal government has appointed Ahmed Raza Sarwar, a Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), as the new Federal Interior Secretary, replacing Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Khurram Agha.

According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division, Captain (Retd.) Khurram Agha has been directed to report to the Establishment Division following his removal from the post.

Before his appointment, Ahmed Raza Sarwar was serving in the Punjab government.

The transfer and appointment were notified through an official order issued by the Establishment Division.

As Federal Interior Secretary, Ahmed Raza Sarwar will head the Ministry of Interior’s administrative affairs, overseeing matters related to internal security, immigration, civil administration, and coordination with federal law enforcement agencies.
