Gold prices in Pakistan extended their losing streak on Wednesday, falling for the second consecutive day in line with weaker international bullion prices.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold declined by Rs. 1,000 per tola to Rs. 426,436.

The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs. 857, settling at Rs. 365,600.

The latest decline follows Tuesday’s sharp Rs. 4,300 per tola drop, when gold closed at Rs. 427,436.

In the international market, spot gold slipped by $10 to $4,040 per ounce, contributing to the decline in local prices.

Meanwhile, silver moved in the opposite direction, with its price increasing by Rs. 68 to Rs. 6,291 per tola.
