The federal government has raised the prices of petroleum products, with the revised rates coming into effect from Tuesday night.

According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been increased by Rs. 4.93 per litre, taking it to Rs. 320.73 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has gone up by Rs. 7.15 per litre to Rs. 367.21 per litre.

The latest revision comes just a day after petroleum prices were adjusted. On Monday, petrol became cheaper by Rs. 0.35 per litre, falling to Rs. 315.80 per litre, while the price of HSD was increased by Rs. 5.71 per litre to Rs. 360.06 per litre.

OGRA’s notification formally confirmed the new prices, which are effective immediately.
