Gold prices fell sharply in Pakistan on Friday, tracking a decline in international bullion markets.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs. 3,600 to Rs. 421,836 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs. 3,086, settling at Rs. 361,656.
The decline follows Thursday’s increase, when gold had gained Rs. 400 per tola to close at Rs. 425,436.
In the international market, spot gold fell by $36 to $3,994 per ounce, including a $20 premium, weighing on domestic prices.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved lower, with the price per tola falling Rs. 126 to Rs. 6,029
