Chinese automaker Geely Auto has formally entered the Pakistani market by appointing Bestway Group as the official importer and distributor of its Geely Galaxy brand.
The company will launch the Geely Galaxy EX5, a compact electric SUV, and the Geely Galaxy EX2, a compact electric hatchback, during the third quarter of 2026. Both vehicles will initially be imported as Completely Built-Up (CBU) units.
| Model | Vehicle Type | Intended Buyers |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy EX5 | Compact Electric SUV | Families and SUV buyers |
| Galaxy EX2 | Compact Electric Hatchback | Urban commuters and first-time EV owners |
As Geely’s local partner, Bestway Group will handle vehicle homologation, dealership development, sales, after-sales services and customer support across Pakistan.
The partnership gives Geely an established distribution platform, as Bestway already has experience in Pakistan’s automotive sector following its acquisition of Al-Haj Automotive.
The move comes as Pakistan’s electric vehicle market continues to attract new global manufacturers amid growing consumer interest and a gradual expansion of EV infrastructure.
Industry observers say Geely’s competitiveness will depend on pricing, spare parts availability, service quality and the strength of its dealer network, in addition to the performance of its vehicles.
The launch of the EX5 and EX2 is expected to broaden choices for buyers in Pakistan’s compact electric SUV and city hatchback segments.
