Gold prices edged lower in Pakistan on Saturday, tracking a decline in international bullion markets after the sharp gains recorded a day earlier.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold fell by Rs1,100 per tola to Rs439,836.
The price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs943, settling at Rs377,088.
The decline follows Friday’s sharp rally, when the price of gold surged by Rs12,200 per tola to an all-time level of Rs440,936.
In the international market, gold prices slipped by $11 to $4,174 per ounce, including a premium of $20, contributing to the decline in domestic rates.
Silver prices also moved lower, with the price per tola falling by Rs48 to Rs6,716.
