The federal government has approved leave for Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood from June 29 to July 6, according to a notification issued by the Establishment Division.
The notification states that Rashid Mahmood, a BS-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, has been granted leave on full pay. He has also been permitted to travel abroad during the leave period, subject to the condition that the federal government will bear no foreign exchange expenses.
In his absence, Dr. Hamid Ateeq Sarwar, Member Strategic Transformation at the FBR, will perform the duties of the FBR chairman in addition to his current responsibilities.
The Establishment Division issued the notification on June 27, adding that it will be published in the next issue of the Gazette of Pakistan.
