US Vice President JD Vance has issued a strong warning to members of the Israeli cabinet over recent remarks directed at US President Donald Trump, saying such comments risk damaging a critical strategic partnership.
Vance said that Trump remains one of the most important global supporters of Israel, arguing that the US president holds a unique position as both a key political ally and the leader of the world’s most powerful country.
He urged Israeli officials to avoid public criticism of Trump, stressing that undermining Washington’s leadership could strain cooperation at a sensitive time.
The US vice president also pointed to ongoing American military and financial assistance to Israel, noting that much of Israel’s defensive capability in recent months has been supported through US-made systems funded by American taxpayers.
Vance further argued that Israel’s security challenges should not be linked to Trump, adding that those within the Israeli political system blaming the US president for current issues are misreading the geopolitical situation.
