The Sindh government is considering a set of relief measures for government employees and pensioners in the upcoming provincial budget, according to proposals under review ahead of the budget announcement.

Under the proposed package, employees and pensioners in Grades 1 to 16 may receive a 20 percent increase in salaries and pensions, while those in Grades 17 to 22 could see a 15 percent adjustment.

Officials are also reviewing a broader revision of pay scales for government employees across Grades 1 to 21 as part of efforts to address rising inflation and improve compensation structures.

In addition, a proposal is under consideration to double the conveyance allowance for employees in Grades 1 to 16.

The measures are still at the proposal stage and will be finalized after further review before being included in the Sindh budget.
