The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) has withdrawn a recently announced increase in fares for its Lahore sightseeing bus service, reinstating previous ticket rates following a decline in petroleum prices.

According to officials, the decision was taken after recent adjustments in fuel costs, prompting the cancellation of the earlier notification regarding higher fares in the public interest.

An official circular, approved by the TDCP Managing Director, has restored the original fare structure for the service. Authorities said the revised directive has been communicated to all relevant departments for immediate implementation across all platforms.

TDCP instructed staff to ensure the updated rates are applied without delay so that tourists are not inconvenienced.

Officials said the move is aimed at providing relief to visitors while supporting tourism activity in the province, adding that similar steps would be considered in the future to facilitate the sector.
