The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that its offices will remain closed on March 23, 2026 (Monday) in observance of Pakistan Day.
In a statement, the central bank said the closure will follow the public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan, meaning all SBP offices will remain shut on that date. Commercial banks and financial institutions across the country will also remain closed.
The Cabinet Division annually issues an official list of public holidays, and March 23 has been designated as a nationwide holiday.
Pakistan Day is observed every year to mark the Lahore Resolution of 1940, a historic milestone that paved the way for the establishment of Pakistan.
