Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Thursday, tracking fresh losses in the international bullion market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola declined by Rs. 2,800 to settle at Rs. 537,162. The rate for 10 grams also decreased by Rs. 2,401, closing at Rs. 460,529.

A day earlier, gold per tola had dropped by Rs. 10,000 to reach Rs. 539,962, reflecting heightened volatility in the local market.

Globally, gold prices fell by $28 per ounce to $5,144, including a premium of $20, exerting additional pressure on domestic rates.

Silver prices also moved lower, slipping by Rs. 194 to Rs. 8,810 per tola.
