Petroleum prices in Pakistan are expected to drop in the coming days, with petrol likely to decrease by Rs. 3.5 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs. 7 per litre. The anticipated reduction comes amid recent fluctuations in international oil markets and a slight decline in import premiums.
Currently, petrol is priced at Rs. 252.63 per litre, while high-speed diesel stands at Rs. 256.64 per litre. If the proposed cuts are approved, the new prices will be Rs. 249.13 for petrol and Rs. 249.64 for diesel.
This would mark the second consecutive reduction in fuel prices. In the previous adjustment on April 31, both petrol and diesel prices were lowered by Rs. 2 per litre, following a period during which the federal government kept rates unchanged.
